I am what i am in amsterdam. Well friends am in Amsterdam on the way to Canada for three weeks. We are a team of four people: Magiri, Nyantito and Mary Tumbo, about to help out with the MCC HIV/AIDS fundraiser organized by the MCC Alberta team...I"ll be going with Mary to Saskatchewan and BC--as well as Alberta (with a stop in Brownfield); Mary will be sharing her story about her life in Mugumu. She found out she was HIV positive in 2002, and since then has been actively involved in community care and prevention efforts. She started a support group for people living with HIV/AIDS in her community as well. Shes quite a remarkable, strong woman; and she has a lovely sense of humor--so I am honored to be able to go on this trip with them all! More news later!
